Lincoln
Lincoln is a rural mountain town situated on the headwaters of the Blackfoot River. DIY wade fishing can be great in this area. It is accessible to floating the Missouri and Blackfoot rivers. There are a few motels, bars, and restaurants.
Missoula
Small College town with lots to do. The Clark Fork runs through town and the confluence of the Bitterroot and Blackfoot rivers are not far. If you plan on fishing the Blackfoot and Clark Fork this is a great option. Lots of lodging options.

The best accommodation for a Multi day Missouri River trip is house on the river. Airbnbs and Vrbos from Wolf Creek to Cascade are available. A new option to consider as well is rvshare.com. They will deliver a camper or rv to campsite or rv park on the river.
Helena
Our lovely capital city is roughly 30 minutes to the upper river has lots of hotels, restaurants, breweries, etc.
Great Falls
Nice town on the lower Missouri River roughly 30 minutes to the lower trout fishing area of the Missouri. Town has plenty of hotels and restaurants . Large industry and Air Force Base influence on the town.
